Out of all the destinations around Cape Coral, Fort Myers Beach features the most marinas and gas stations:
Moss Marina is situated on the north coast of Fort Myers Beach, near Matanzas Pass Bridge. Even big boats of up to 180 feet can moor here – whether for an hour or multiple months in dry storage. In addition, you can fill up on gas and have your vessel repaired, buy bait for your fishing trip and purchase boat equipment. Numerous restaurants are just a short walk away.

Located on the central northern coast of Estero Island, Snook Bight Marina offers close proximity to the beach. Like you would expect from a modern marina, you can buy fuel and boating equipment here, have your boat pumped out and do your laundry. Or you could have a seat at the Bayfront Bistro and enjoy beautiful ocean views. At the Publix Supermarket, you can buy food before continuing your trip. In addition to 53 slips for boats of up to 50 feet, the marina also features 200 dry storage racks.

Pink Shell Marina in western Fort Myers Beach is perfect if you want to moor in walking distance to the idyllic Bowditch Point Park. 41 boats of up to 100 feet can dock here. And the best thing is: Customers are allowed to use the pools, spa area and private beach of the Pink Shell Resort. The marina is equipped with gas stations, pumps, electricity and water as well as a store for boating equipment.

Gulf Star Marina is located on San Carlos Island, right next to Matanzas Pass Bridge. With just 20 boat slips, it might be one of the smaller harbors in Florida. However, Gulf Star is proud to be the first “Smart Marina” in the world. Thanks to new technology made in Germany boats are automatically and quickly transported from dry storage to the water – perfect for boaters who want to store their vessel for long periods of time. Among the amenities are a gas station and a store for boating equipment. Hungry skippers can get their fill at Doc Ford’s Rum Bar & Grille next door.

Pine Island is a quiet, unspoilt paradise. Nonetheless, this big island west of Cape Coral has no shortage of marinas and gas stations:
Pineland Marina is the biggest yacht harbor on Pine Island. It features a gas station and a shop where you can buy bait, snacks and drinks, as well as clothes and boat maps. Your perfect stop for repairs is Bob & Annie’s Boatyard. And while you are here – how about a trip to the Randall Research Center? Located just a 3 minute walk away, this museum will tell you everything about the Calusa Indians, Pine Island’s native inhabitants.

No matter if you just want to grab something to eat or stay overnight – Monroe Canal Marina in the south of Pine Island is perfect for a stopover. Located at the northern end of Pine Island is the Bocilla Marina Useppa Shore with slips for boats of up to 110 feet. Here, snacks, fuel, boat equipment and baits are available. If you love colorful garments, you should stop by at Joseffa´s Store right next door. Staying overnight at the marina is no problem thanks to toilets, showers and barbecue areas.

On scenic Captiva Island, the following marinas and gas stations are available for boaters:
Owners of boats with a length of 24 feet or less can moor at McCarthy´s Marina on Captiva´s central east coast. If you want, you can also store your vessel overnight for 35 USD. There is a gift shop selling clothes and bags, and only a 2 minute walk away you will find two of Captiva´s most popular restaurants: The festively decorated Bubble Room and the Keylime Bistro. Not only boaters like to visit McCarthy´s Marina. If you are lucky, you might see Florida’s manatees swimming in the water around the slips.

Do you want to have a stopover before heading to open waters? Then, the marinas and gas stations in Fort Myers are perfect for you.
The highly modern Port Sanibel Marina features 95 slips for boats of up to 65 feet, in addition to 135 dry storage racks. Guards and video cameras ensure the safety of your boat. You can buy fishing and boating equipment, and on the adjacent hiking path, Florida’s mangrove forests await you. Right next to the marina, the Lighthouse Restaurant & Bar serves delicious steaks, seafood and fish specialties.

The marinas and gas stations on Sanibel Island are perfect if you want to explore South Florida’s popular vacation island.
A whole 65 boat slips are available at the Sanibel Marina, located on the northeastern tip of the island. Here, boats measuring 70 feet or less are able to dock. The Gramma Dot´s restaurant provides the right incentive for a shore leave, serving fast food like fries and burgers, as well as seafood and healthy salads.

Even owners of large boats have no problem mooring in the marinas around Cape Coral. There is room for vessels of up to 100 feet at Salty Sam’s Marina on San Carlos Island and the Pink Shell Marina in Fort Myers Beach. The Bocilla Marina Useppa Shore on Pine Island is perfect for boats measuring up to 110 feet, while there are even slips for 180 feet long boats at Moss Marina on the north coast of Fort Myers Beach. If you are looking for a marina for boats of up to 110 feet, look no further than the South Seas Island Resort on Captiva Island.
Judging by the number of mooring slips, Salty Sam’s Marina in Fort Myers Beach and Fort Myers’ Port Sanibel Marina are the biggest marinas in the Cape Coral area. Of course, there are even bigger harbors in Florida: Take, for example, the Burnt Store Marina in Punta Gorda with a whopping 525 boat slips.
If you want to moor in close proximity to the nearest beach, we can recommend the Snook Bight Marina in Fort Myers Beach. Here, only 330 yards separate you from the beach on the southern coast. Another hotspot for beach lovers is the Pink Shell Marina in the north. If you park your vessel here, you can access the private beach of the Pink Shell Resort. Alternatively, take a 10 minute walk to the quiet beach at Bowditch Point Park.

If you are running low on fuel, you can rest assured. Not only the marinas of Cape Coral, Fort Myers and Fort Myers Beach have their own gas stations. On Captiva, Sanibel and Pine Island, you will also find at least one marina where you can refuel your vessel.
